Trekkr.life is supported in part by advertising and commerce. We believe in being upfront about it, so here is how money and content mix on our site.

1.Our commitment to transparency

Some of what you see on Trekkr is paid for. We tell you when that is the case so you can weigh it for yourself. This disclosure applies everywhere we publish — the website, our emails, and our social channels.

2.Sponsored and featured business listings

Businesses can pay for enhanced placement in our directory and marketplace, such as “Featured” or “Premium” listings and promotional offers. These paid placements are marked so you can tell them apart from ordinary listings.

3.Advertising

We display paid advertising and sponsor promotions across Trekkr.life, our newsletters and our social media. Advertisers do not control our editorial content.

4.Affiliate links

Some links on Trekkr may be affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. We only link to things we think are genuinely relevant to our readers.

5.Our own products

We sell our own field guides and the Adventure Passport membership. When we mention or link to those, we are promoting our own products.

6.Editorial independence

Paid placement buys visibility, not our honest opinion. Where content is sponsored, we label it as such; where it is our own editorial recommendation, it reflects what we actually think.
